Before co-founding Assembly Advisory, he co-led BrunswickGroup’s Nordic Public Affairs practice and the Nordic sector team focused on philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. Erik has extensive experience in policy change and crisis communications and has developed many successful integrated advocacy and communications campaigns for international and Swedish clients facing business-critical issues. He has also managed collaborations with world-renowned Swedish musicians to build public support for gender equality worldwide.
A journalist by training, Erik started his career as an investigative reporter and has written for several leading print outlets. Following his tenure in journalism, Erik served in government as a Communications Officer at the Swedish Permanent Representation to the European Union. In Brussels, he oversaw media relations with all EU correspondents and supported two successive Swedish administrations on communications strategy related to the EU institutions.
Erik holds a B.A. in Arts and Visual Studies and an M.A. in Journalism from the University of Gothenburg, his hometown.
